Combined, Equinix's 32 mapped facilities draw an estimated 0.8 TWh of electricity a year — about the yearly power of 71,437 homes — emitting roughly 285,226 metric tons of CO₂ and using on the order of 1,914 million gallons of water a year including upstream generation. These are order-of-magnitude estimates from facility type and US grid/water averages, not metered readings.
